Woodface is one of my favorite albums for sure. I enjoy their 2007 “comeback”album Time on Earth that is sort of a teibute to Paul Hester, but I’ve been really liking this current iteration of the band with Neil’s kids, who are both very talented musicians in their own right.

That sounds like a perfect fit! I think it is interesting that on the album the track is titled “Life’s Imitation” yet everywhere else it is Teenage Summer. Maybe using the words “teenage” and “summer” might help it gain traction on streaming or something. Either way it is a great track.

#CDFriday: Crowded House - Gravity Stairs. Just released at the end of May, this album is another great addition to the CH discography. Songs like The Howl, Some Greater Plan, All That I Can Ever Own, etc are simply pure Crowded House gems. Definitely one of my favorite albums this year thus far.

It's the first Wednesday of the month, so my local public radio station (WFPK) is doing their monthly All Request Mental Health day. So no podcasts, no youtubes today. (I really want to submit The Coup - Guillotine today, but I don't think other people will find it as cathartic)

Oddly enough I picked this album out not thinking about Paul Heaton playing at Glastonbury so to see a semi-sort of reunion with Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim is a nice surprise

I have been going to see Paul Heaton in all his reincarnations for over 30 years and he's still totally brilliant. Seeing Norman Cook on stage today made me cry a little. The Housemartins are up there for GOAT.
