Sorcery definitely has some spells that can singlehandedly carry a playthrough. Incantations feel like they have more variety. Especially if you add in the dragon communion spells even though they require additional arcane investment. I personally prefer faith spells.

My running theory is that you only lie down to recover. You rise again to fight gravity when you have fully recovered from carrying around so much weas for days on end. Each time you rise, you are stronger than before.
