My husband, who has a cpa and a masters degree and a stellar record, has been out of work for 4 months. He’s getting turned down for everything. My friends are working full time and putting groceries on credit cards. This booming economy and tight job market feels like the twilight zone.

That sucks for your husband, but his period of unemployment tells us nothing about the job market in general.
