I’ve been in quite the illuminating argument with some “dudes” on FB about this. Illuminating in the sense of being shocked at the lack of their reading comprehension, and eventually about how stupid they are. Also how I feel like arguing with women online is a form of jacking off for them.

A take from a fellow ND (don’t know if it’s THE take): It’s highly cringey when men try to be or do anything in pursuit of scoring. Any assumed persona is 👎. It’s much nicer to speak to women as you’d speak to anyone. Treat her like a human, show real interest in who she is with no expectations.

@bsky.app, I have a suggested fix for the algorithm. When someone clicks into an account to block it, don’t start showing them more accounts of the same nature.
Nothing against furries or furry art, but I don’t care for sexy furry drawings, so I block those accounts. And then see WAY more of them.

I hear over and over and over again from different people that they can’t find jobs. My kids struggled, my single friends struggle, my older friends struggle. Really interesting when we’re supposed to have a tight labor market. It feels like it did during the recession.

My husband, who has a cpa and a masters degree and a stellar record, has been out of work for 4 months. He’s getting turned down for everything. My friends are working full time and putting groceries on credit cards. This booming economy and tight job market feels like the twilight zone.
