Maybe it's just my age showing, but I've gotten to a point now where I believe that most of us, including me, put unrealistic expectations of what people are inside our heads and we're disappointed when reality doesn't meet that image.

I think we want to believe people are capable of success while maintaining goodness because of the allure of doing the wrong thing with the promise of getting away with it when success kicks in. We want to believe normal people can make it & stay true. It hurts when that isn’t true; We’ve no chance
