Would be a good idea for the party to do a survey to see who’s for court expansion, who’s really in this fight, and who’s not. Because I’m guessing there are a few in Congress now that don’t have the fight in them and should go, or get shoved out.

My kid, if left to own devices (see what I did there) will watch YouTube, play switch all day. I play chess with him, catch, tennis, run,swim, whatev I can to get him out, as a reward he gets some time. He’s a child and would eat nothing but ice cream if I let him, even if labeled 💀 It’s on me.

As a die hard twin peaks fan I gotta throw in the ending of season 2. Can’t imagine watching that in real time knowing they just cancelled the show. I’d post a screenshot of the famous mirror shot but it would give away the ending and I’m not that big a jerk. Season 3 was made but 25 yrs later!

Joyce didn’t really see himself as a storyteller but rather as an artist/writer. Plot didn’t matter as much as creating an emotional effect within the reader that was moving. Hope this doesn’t come off wrong. I love the book and think everyone who loves literature should read it at least once.

Whenever I get into a debate w a conservative they inevitably begin a sentence with “well both Fox and CNN…”. Acknowledging that both are propaganda. They are not the same! If cnn is carrying water for anybody it’s for the wealthy. It’s definitely not for the “left” as defined by Fox.

In that focus group from yesterday one of the men said something about how minorities should now like Trump because democrats have been locking them up for years. The whole “family was together back then” thing plays into that. I guess this is their new line now.

Really disappointing to read Meyerson editorial in TAP on this today. Basically an apologetic for Biden filled with not exactly lies but misdirections (like claiming that Biden is doing this against his will or that mayors like Johnson who ask for help want him to do this. Neither is true).

My fave part about this debate is that there was an expose on unfair tax assessments while ago, that building featured prominently. Got assessed for half of what it had just sold for, giving their rich owners huge tax break. when I told ppl they’d be like but you still call it sears tower right!?!

I’m on that expressway almost daily and when it’s not bumper to bumper (almost always while sun is out) there’s at least one jagoff driving like this. It’s not the drugs/liquor, it lack of enforcement. I don’t want to live under constant surveillance but we really do need traffic cameras everywhere.
