Agreed. The US needs to expand the House, reduce gerrymandering, and end the Senate. It won’t be perfect, but it won’t (can’t) be worse. Of course, I fear any such discussion here will be moot soon enough.

As I understand STV, you need larger constituencies as more candidates are elected. So the current constituencies would vanish. But having less gerrymandering today probably bodes well for such a shift. Rotten boroughs are not a tradition you need to reenact!

I’ve eaten rabbit and tripe, but not reindeer or puffin. Reindeer I would try. Depends where the puffin comes from as I understand it is being overharvested in some places. My disgust level(?) is much stronger with insects than mammals, reptiles, amphibians (hope I’m not missing any animal groups)
