Correct. A prudent, law-abiding President who appoints qualified agency personnel to enact thoughtful regulations is going to see their agenda inevitably fail.
A malicious, arbitrary President who runs around barking illegal commands at people will be rewarded.
Indeed, Hitler would do well here. His theory of government was that he personified the German state and so all authority flowed from him directly. This matches well. More rational forms of executive government are as noted expressly penalized by scotus.
So: TX rebelled, nothing happened. Fascist treasoned, gets off scott free. Biden follows the law, gets told he actually has no power to do anything as a result.
I look forward to Biden ordering the assets of various billionaires to be seized, as they present a threat to the security of the nation.
Or for the executives of the pollution cartel to be imprisoned and the company's assets commandeered for public management.
Voiding all student debt, period.
And this is (was? will be?) the defining characteristic of the Trump presidency/era! Base criminality is fine as long as you do it brazenly enough. Whereas trying to follow the rules is for suckers and will inevitably get caught in a web of legal technicalities.
