I love this detail from Donald Sutherland's NYT obituary: "He recounted how he was once rejected for a film role by a producer who said: 'This part calls for a guy-next-door type. You don’t look like you’ve lived next door to anyone.'" A perfect aspiration there, I think!

it reminds me of when I saw Cee-Lo Green in a restaurant and the guy I was with thought it wasn't him. "Nobody has ever said 'hey look it's Cee-Lo Green' and been wrong."
