People often ask me, “What is there to be proud of?” And it makes me so bummed for them.
We face a metric shitton of ableism along with other prejudices and marginalization, it’s true.
What i personally celebrate is our capacity for acceptance, endurance, and love. ☺️

I responded to something similar on The Hell Site and it feels relevant. Like. Was in response to someone QTing about someone saying "Why would you glorify your disability?!" and shit like that. Which 😒 But. I DO "glorify" my disability because quite frankly, it's a miracle I survived it all.

This just made me laugh. 😂 First off: bipolar disorder with psychosis. What is there to be proud of? How about the fact that we have to claw and struggle every day for a semblance of normalcy and then standing our ground. I'm very proud of us all! Together, we've got this.
