like, there are jobs i could do out there, but either i look absolutely terrible on paper or there are just thousands of people applying for each of them. maybe time to retrain while i keep my head above water with freelance gigs

being exiled to canada and having to move back to my hometown since it's one of the few cities i can afford to actually live in is insanely demoralizing. i feel like my life is still on a huge downturn and i have no idea when that'll change

in my 14th month of unemployment...I've had one job offer, which I had to turn down for physical reasons. who wants to hire a 55 y.o. who's longest job has been 7 years? I've got no network, I've got no 10k hours, etc.
