This is my yearly reminder to my gaymer friends that Sega is an extremely good LGBTQ+ friendly company that does actual support for our communities all over the world, including being big sponsors of Pride events in Japan. I'll be part of they're annual Pride charity event later this month!

Interesting. I don't remember them giving two flying fucks about Pride when I worked for them at 650 Townsend in San Francisco. I was one of a tiny handful of "out" employees and I used to overhear all sorts of homophobic comments behind my back. HR tore up my contract, I sued and won. Fuck SEGA.

worth mentioning that the protagonist of their yakuza games, supports trans people! there's a scene in one of the games where he consoles a trans woman worrying what her BF will think if/when she tells him she's trans.

In past years I've participated, in they raised money for Mermaids, a charity that helps trans/non binary youth and the Kaleidoscope Trust, a charity that advocates for LGBTQ+ rights in parts of the world that need it most. They are good peeps.
