1. Yay for mixed use. 2. If the apartments are small, the open spaces need to be significant and easily accessible. I don't trust NZ councils and this govt to ensure intensification without planning rules for good living. We'll intensify on the cheap - crushed people with nowhere to go.

Pretty standard NIMBY-fare here. OK, so the housing is enabled. That's part one of the solution. Now set about enabling commercial facilities. OK, they're doing that, too. Then you need social infrastructure which this lot can't do to save themselves anyway. Vote for those who can.
