The only thing I know *for certain* about the future is that it has not happened yet. I can imagine a world where VP Harris steps aside to become a SCOTUS Justice. I have no idea if she would accept that. I’m saying *I* can imagine it, if VP Harris were convinced she could not win as nominee.

I get why the fear of Harris as President brings out all the latent misogynoir in very nice people, and there are going to be thousands of versions of it just like yours over the coming days.

The bigger question is whether Black voters would accept a scenario like that. Passing over the first Black woman VP would alienate a significant part of the base, with potentially disastrous consequences.
