I was just sent an ARC by one of my favorite authors. If you aren't reading Martin Lastrapes, you are missing out. His "Inside the Outside" remains the best book I can never read a second time because I don't want it tarnished by knowing what happens. It's exquisite.

I drove 3 hours to my hometown yesterday for my dad's best friend's visitation. It was weird being in a place where I only knew the widow and my mom, and even seeing a few people later I'd gone to school with but mostly realizing that I didn't belong there, that I don't have a place in that town.

We have so many medical and health insurance company calls daily for sorting prescriptions and authorizations that I have to answer every call. It's too much of a hassle to call them back vs just answering.

I have what my kids call my "customer service voice," and that's what I use when I answer an unknown number. It's pitched higher and softer with a hint of vocal fry. Most ask to speak my mom, thinking I'm one of my teenagers. It gets me out of most calls I don't want to deal with. lol

I was first a fiber artist. I spin, weave, knit, crochet, tat, bobbin lace...the works. Now, I can take those lace patterns and apply them to chainmail for fun designs. *bounces* Yes, I know I have books to write.

The 14th Amendment says if you were involved in an insurrection you can't be president. SCOTUS said they won't allow anyone to enforce that because of reasons they made up. The Constitution doesn't say the president is immune from criminal law. SCOTUS decided he is because of reasons they made up.

Because I've had a few messages about them: the big dragons are $15 to $25 depending on the length. Small sized 3d friends like the tiger and mini dragons are $8. We have commercial licenses through the designers.
