Reminds me of the 'fun' emails we got when we rejected stories for the lit mag I was a reader for Most folks either didn't respond at all or thanked us for letting them know & moved on like pros But not these guys (it was always guys) - the absolute sense of entitlement of the fragile white male 🙄

Not at all defending Munro, but I do note there's a difference between DOING the sexual assault (allegedly) & KNOWING about the sexual assault. I also think it's interesting (predictable) that Munro's ex knew what was happening to his child, did nothing, yet he's not racked over the coals. 1/2

Thanks for the info. I'm not rushing to judgement, but I wouldn't be surprised is both things were true - TERFs are using SA accusations of a famous lib to score points AND a powerful man used his position to pressure/coerce folks into unwanted sex acts.

There is, assuming the nanny in question was a mentally competent adult. Is it creepy for men to hit on women their granddaughters' age? YES! But it's not assault. And it's infantilizing of women to assume that we can't make our own choices about older men's advances.
