Oh man, this is just brutal. The first map shows gains in Labour's vote share. The second shows vote share gains for the Tories. Yeesh.

Just so we’re clear here, when this guy and all the others say this stuff, they’re talking about YOU. They’re talking about me. They’re talking about our friends, our families and our communities We would be wise to fully absorb that fact and act accordingly

People are right often when they say ‘politically Britain is becoming just as bad as America’ but Sunak’s speech shows an important way in which is hasn’t. A number of ways actually. To be able to move frictionlessly between governments may be boring, but it’s so, so important.

If you’ve never seen Dorothea Lange’s photographs of the World War II internment camps and the Japanese-Americans who were imprisoned there, today is a good day to see them and to commit to making sure this never happens again.

I mean, the headline here will be the massive Labour landslide and the huge Tory collapse, but look at the SNP numbers. Holy shit, that's a nearly 80% drop. That's a bloodbath

ngl sure is a weird history reversal that the UK chose July 4 of all days to throw off the yolk of their entitled and incompetent government, and over in the US the NYT and supreme court have spent the past week deciding that presidents are kings and voting is bad actually

“The rabbits got the gun now” coming from a lawyer for a crooked Governor going after a newspaper writer is such a telling comment about how much we’ve let powerful people cast themselves as victims and it goes from this to Elon to Trump and everywhere else

Apparently the government of the Yucatán recently erected a Poseidon statue on one of their major beaches. It’s a very heavily Mayan area, where people still pray to Chaac, the god of rainfall. They’re now being slammed with 3 hurricanes and significant flooding, leading to memes like this

claiming hypocrisy in cases like this is missing the point. they have completely consistent beliefs: they and their friends should be able to do whatever they want without consequence, and everyone else should be subservient to them.
