Iā€™ve got a neighbor who greets my dog like heā€™s the greatest thing thatā€™s ever happened and ignores me like I donā€™t exist, and Iā€™m totally cool with that. My dog is always super excited to see him too.

Rad! I used to be a Domino's driver back in the 30 minutes or it's free days. I had a 69 Dart though. Not nearly as cool, but it did have a 318 V8 and hauled ass. All of us had so many god-damned tickets.

The only saving grace in this is that if a rider does nothing it automatically defaults to 5 stars. Also that drivers get to rate passengers on the same scale. I rated a racist passenger 1 star once with the reason why, and Uber sent her a message to stop being an ass or get kicked off the app.

I learned from parenting not to ask questions like this, because my teen will outright say "no" and then get mad and point out "if it isn't a real question why did you ask it that way?" So I switched to, "Please take out the garbage." This may or may not work on spouses though.

In the army (after an amount of tequila consumption) I watched a guy drink an entire large bottle of Tabasco on a five dollar bet. He did it and it came back up almost immediately, but he made five bucks. Young guys can be super dumb with very little inspiration.

A friend with a Newfie was eating at a restaurant with her dog in the car. A freaked out person comes in and says, "there's a bear in someone's car!". It was Tahoe where bears do break into cars, but in this case it was just Forrest.

There was a recent analysis (that I canā€™t seem to find now) that about 75% of those tagged by a speeding camera slowed down and didnā€™t reoffend. So if itā€™s a revenue generating tool then itā€™s a pretty poor one since it only works once for most people.

You may already know this trick, but the only thing I can recommend there is pack a spray bottle with slightly soapy water. You'll get bubbles at the hole that way.

That's cool, maybe I'll take another look. I've done some wonky repairs to tent poles with sticks and duct tape that have gotten me through. I also don't tend to have good luck with inflatable things so I'm extra suspicious of them.

Inflatable support tents have been around for a while, but they've always seemed like an unnecessary complication with added points of failure. With the bonus of the failure point making your entire tent unusable.

I live in wild horse country and feeding them is illegal. I pulled over to look at a herd and it was obvious they were being fed because they surrounded the car and were trying to stick their heads in the windows. I'm used to horses but a dozen wild ones that close are definitely kinda scary.
