This happened to me at an old job with a plotter and it was a combo of cheap paper and something to do with the scanner/heat. Switching to better paper solved it for us.

This is exactly right but another thing normal ass every day people can do is show up to meetings and advocate for HEPA filters/UV systems in AHUs and other HVAC. Some buildings wont ever have good airflow without a knock-down but anything with central/multi-zone HVAC can and thats MOST
