We're launching our next round of State Policy Task Force members next Mon! So far we have 7 volunteers to help design a plan for 2025, educate decision makers, and engage the public on housing policy. This is an opportunity to step into a FRESH group of folks and get more involved with N4MN.

HF 5242 also directed DLI to study single egress apartments, aka Point Access Blocks or Single Stair buildings, for their safety relative to other housing types. ✨ The report, due 12/25, may help legalize homes in MN which have been legal in Seattle and NYC for over 50 years. ✨

As a part of HF5242 the #mnleg ensured that our environmental laws cannot be weaponized against building much needed homes.
It clarifies comprehensive plans cannot be challenged under MERA, 🤩 ending the lawsuit over the Minneapolis 2040 Plan and closing the door to future abuse. 🤩
