Yeah I’ve seen that! Just was giving my two cents since someone asked about it! Language and dialect are just fun for me. My dialect came directly from Kouri-Vini, which is French/West African based. We have a lot of different types of pronunciations here in Louisiana as a result.

Question: Based on my works, would you consider me to be a graphic artist? I’ve looked up the meaning of just to get an idea of what falls under the umbrella, but it seems to have several definitions. I’ve always said “graphic designer/illustrator”. Does graphic art apply here?

My mom was talking about candy before church today. She told me how back in the day, they used to call Jolly Ranchers “wine candy”. I got curious as to why it was called that. I searched and ended up learning they say it in Chicago, too! I had to find the connection. It all makes sense, now.

Artists: are there ways to adjust your pressuré sensitivity in Clip Studio? Photoshop seems to default to it being more like pencil and paper. In Clip Studio, all my line work comes out more “aggressive”. Looking for a way to tone it down without having to change the opacity.

Usually it’s been through people finding me via social media. Sometimes it’s been Twitter. Sometimes it’s been Instagram. They run into my page, and then somewhere down the line, they email me with projects. I’ve also gotten non-book related opportunities by tagging companies in illustrations.
