my problem with this line of thinking: media bullying is a right wing tactic. it has been working. if every time left-liberals say, “I don’t believe it, but the optics are bad,” they will keep doing it over and over. there is no perfect candidate. they will always find a thread to pull.

I agree, and I’m not sure what the right thing to do is. I’m less confident than everyone. I’m just saying that the part of me that considers replacement still doesn’t think he has a competence problem
