Trump tried to get them to hand him the 2020 election. They wouldn't hear his cases. Democrats will have a majority in the Senate for the rest of the year. Bush v Gore was over one state, which was extremely close. That electoral situation is unlikely to happen again.

In 2020 the Democrats had just won a trifecta, there were clear cracks in the Republican coalition over the results, and Coney Barrett had literally just been confirmed a week prior to the election. It wasn't a sure thing that they could get away with it. Now? What could possibly constrain them?

That was when Senate reform was on the table. It’s too late for reform now. So last week they made him king, made it impossible to prosecute any of the planners for Jan 6th, legalized bribery, and overturned 100 years of federal regulations. They’re feeling their oats and nothing will stop them now.
