I'm fond of the Ghost in the Shell DVD menu. I can't find the one I had on YouTube, but it played a completely different ambient menu theme instead of Making of Cyborg/Ghost City.

Plus, I found it super adorable that people are trying to push "Player" to imply some sort of heirarchy where a "Gamer" is better. Like "GamerTM" hasn't been a term used to actively mock the vile culture of hatred that's lead to associating self-worth with a hobbyist skill.

I was put on “Bad Player Takes” on Twitter over my opinions on easy difficulties. I was impotently accused of wanting “Grandma’s easy mode”. I joked about it here, months later someone replies with another accusation of “Grandma’s easy mode”. If only difficult games taught originality and wit.

What's funnier is that the feud between Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu is due to the latter being a breakaway clan of the former, hence their similar outfits. The Japanese ninja came after the Chinese assassins. So, Sub-Zero is essentially going full circle long before the clans made peace in the future.

Which doesn't sound like a lot, but in 2019 I struggled to walk a quarter of that because of my poor health. So I'm glad to be working my way back to not having an asthma attack as I sweat buckets after leaving my home.

I've been practicing cardio on a nightly basis for an hour and a half on pedals, I've also taken to doing some upper body strength with hand grippers and a dumbbell. After years of struggling to walk and knee problems last year, I've successfully done a 3 mile walk to the store.

That, and there are ick accounts which I would support if real, but are likely scams to get donations from certain communities. It's generally my policy to block accounts if their profile is nothing but posts requesting donations. Like, literally no posts other than links.

I graduated in 2022 and our plagarism software was basically a duplicate file finder, which is fine because the screw-ups for erroneously flagged documents (usually triggered by templates everyone used) would at least be examined by human eyes. I feel lucky to have experienced uni life before AI.

And yeah, there are iterations of Batman with problems, as is the case of a character that's had many writers over the decades. But compassion is core to his identity. He does what he does so nobody has to suffer as he did, including training a Robin to specifically not turn into another Batman.

Just look at any number of "Batman meets Superman" or "Batman joins the Justice League" or "Batman forms a Bat family" retellings. A core part of those stories is Batman learning to accept others and differences have their strengths.
