Yeah that was definitely done on purpose but I liked lightning right away. And snow too, even though some of his early scenes are cringe. Vanille was very purposefully not who she first seemed.

The DLC for the true ending of 13-2 was unforgivable and overshadowed what was good about the game for me, for a while. Still never played the third part. But it was good. I don’t think final fantasy fans conditioned to expect subtle characters who aren’t what they initially seem e.g Vanille

It’s weird how I point out a pretty solid fact—the court got notably worse after 3 Trump judges made it so Alito and Thomas no longer needed Roberts’ vote— and people are spinning this as me being a fan of Roberts or thinking he’s some west wing character. He’s not as RW as Thomas or Alito 🗿

Just bumped into a guy who has been a swing voter for the winning side the last 7 presidents. He watches pro wrestling, drinks beer and has lunch in an Ohio diner 5 times a week. He didn’t watch the debate but told me he doesn’t care and the media making too big a deal of it

I think he’s as pro corporate as the rest of the GOP justices. I don’t think he’s as culture war as the ruling faction. And I think he did try to respect the idea of scotus and that is definitely out the window when they no longer needed his vote.

It’s fine if you feel that way but it never felt like they were just making it up as long as the GOP faction needed his vote. Not striking down the ACA is one example off the top of my head. I’m not a Roberts fan but I try to keep it real.
