Agree with your point. Disagree that those were mom jeans. They were tight nut 501 style jeans. Most of the time with an oversized button up shirt tucked in or a mock turtle neck, also tucked in. Kind of telegraphs ‘hey my mom dressed me until I was in my 20’s’ to the world.
