Things are going very well when we've reached the "Don't worry, the military won't obey orders to kill civilians" stage of democratic backsliding. It's the sweet spot, where good things happen. Right where we want to be.

A political scientist friend of mine took part in a world crisis simulation in school. They all worked in teams to deal with things happening in real time. Her big take away from the whole thing is that there is no such thing as "Armed Protestors" That is a rebellion.Remember this after the election

I hate adobe more then any of you. I was a flash game dev. Every day it's something like this from Adobe. It is going to get to a point where everyone stops using their software. The dam is going to burst all at once.

A lot of rich people have made a lot of money and they don't have anywhere to invest it. They want to make more money with their money but it has no where to go. You could tax it and spend it on health care or you can just get more AI slop.

I've already stopped using it before this AI thing. It started changing the scroll location every time I looked at it. I couldn't stand that. So I'm now using a 3'rd party text program that is better.
