Interesting thread about procedural issues with electing a new Tory leader now that there aren't so many MPs left : (a) It now only takes 19 Tory MPs to trigger a leadership contest. (b) There aren't currently enough Tory MPs to nominate more than one leadership candidate.

Yeah but the 1922 committee basically just make the rules up on nominations each each time so expect the 100 mp rule might change.

Would have been even funnier if they had fewer than 100 MP so they couldn’t nominate a single candidate. I know they can change the rules, but still.
