i am so sorry. lived like that for about a year after getting shot at, it is miserable. i was so close to leaving the city, but an insurance mostly change, meant new therapist and got fixed, still have that feeling around guns, had to drop therapist. i hope you are in a position to get good help.

Thank you. I'm sorry you were shot at. I have had extreme noise sensitivity since birth, plus some traumas on top of that made things worse. I haven't found anyone who knows how to treat it, but it's been some years since I've tried. Might be time to investigate again.
