I find this so interesting. I've lived in various places in the US & nvr heard anyone discuss eating goat, or even discussing goats, except for their roll loding sheep into trucks. I got to like goat in Portugal. It may be an acquired taste. You know, like tripe!🥰

You'll hear a lot more discussion of goats in parts of the south where they have come to serve a very useful purpose. Kudzu control. Goats *love* to eat kudzu and will eat it preferentially, so you can just turn them loose on an infested area and let them take care of it!
