I donated to Colin Allred & I'm urging my Uptown Dallas (!!) son to volunteer for his campaign. You know, knock on doors & hope nobody shoots you!

Flabbergasted and annoyed. Who the actual f*ck do they think they are? They gaslight w/ the best of 'em. This is a good administration. Good ppl. And, yes, immigration & Gaza a big messes. Who could've done it better? No idea.

You can vote for Colin Allred and all of the local Dems. That's what I'm doing, because I think we'll need all of the elected Dems we can get. But, I will not vote for a forced Biden replacement.

Biden voter here. I'd be really difficult to convince that there was a good reason to push him out. And, I like Harris v. much. I'd still vote Democratic down ballot.

I don't think she wants anything to do with this, do you? Not like she's opened her mouth about it. I think NYT and a bunch of others are trying to mess up her chances to run for president in 2028. There's no overstating their racism and evil.

Am angry w/ the campaign, the talking heads, and the fascists in the GOP. Of course, he gets tired. EVERYONE gets tired. Cold meds? Oh, they're the absolute best to have taken if you're going to do something stressful. NOT. I wish all these special ppl would take a long break.

Some funny map errors. Wonder how it got to Poland, because they call it "herbata." And fascinated that the sea-going Portuguese got their chá overland.

HRC wasn't elected for a variety of reasons, many of them misogynist. I suspect the same will happen w/ Harris. Do I expect an entire swath of American voters to have recognized how smart and capable she was? Nope. There's no requirement for thinking to be able to vote.

My biggest complaint was that he was initially too trusting. HRC wouldn't have given the GOP as much latitude as he did. Also, I think she would've done a better job w/ healthcare, but he did have lots of energy. I think he is a good person.

I personally think the little Hitleriam moustache is a good look. NYT is a joke and its editorial page is like the funny papers. It only needs more cartoons.

Obama was my junior Senator and I liked him v. much, although he was slightly conservative for my taste. I also thought he should've waited to run for president. I'm still not certain I was incorrect. I hope Harris runs in four years & that she doesn't have to fill in during the 2025-2029 term.

While I can't imagine why anyone over, say, the age of 65, would want the job of president, I think Biden's administration has been great. As in every presidency, the veep matters. And, I so like Harris. Don't like convicts, rapists, fascists, and their criminal friends...

You can find it pretty much throughout the Midwest, incl. SD, Neb, KS, even if you don't know fisherpeople, which is how I had it as a child. I think of it as a summer fish, but I could be totally wrong. That's when I see it in restaurants. Your sandwich sounds ideal!

We ate fresh water fish, my favorite of which are trout and walleye, although I also like perch and pike. I don't eat sushi more than fifty miles from an ocean. That includes in Europe. I prefer sushi in Japan. Rules! 😆

Of course not! Some of this is opinion, often not based on fact. I suspect that availability of goat, lamb, mutton, awa all kinds of other meat and fowl varies widely regionally and w/in regions. It also varies over time. Finally, prolly depends on where one shops.😍

Absolutely correct. Biden WH doesn't speak to the crazy folks at NYT & WAPO, etc., so they get their revenge & there's a Dem freakout. What they should be afraid of is King Trump & the fascist GOP, not a 90-minute debate. This can't be said too often. Don't back down vs theft of a democracy.

You can also eat reindeer if you like. Easily available in Estonia and Finland and elsewhere. It's all a matter of taste and relationship to meat.

I'm glad you don't have a problem w/ elk. Or deer, which I've had in the past. Different ppl like different meat for different reasons. For equally different reasons, they may or may not eat it. I'm good w/ that.

It is/was possible to get non-hybrid buffalo. I still liked it, but felt bad. The terrible ostrich was more than a decade ago. And, yes, I prepared it "correctly." I just didn't like it. I think I'm allowed!!

I've had elk, which was good, but I felt bad about eating; buffalo, which was also good, but ditto; and ostrich, which was terrible. I'm not sure I'd want to eat bear. You know, Smokey, and all of that, but I don't have ideas about its taste. I just wouldn't want to be told it tastes like chicken!

As I think about, I know that. A horse meat factory--production for France?--was closed down about a decade ago in northern Illinois. I'm now going to track down history of sheep & goat cheese in the US in my everso-NOT-abundant time.

I find this so interesting. I've lived in various places in the US & nvr heard anyone discuss eating goat, or even discussing goats, except for their roll loding sheep into trucks. I got to like goat in Portugal. It may be an acquired taste. You know, like tripe!🥰

Apparently if you want to breed Irish Setters, you have to register them at one place in the US, Mizzou. I guess the vet school? (I just saw the first Irish Setters I'd seen in decades; one in Prague & the other two in KC. The KC guy told me this.)
