Was Snowden always compromised or was it a result of his ending up in Russia? Similar question about Glenn Greenwald, I remember a time before he was so obviously compromised.

As far as I've understood it's mostly his ending up in Russia. You wonder if some quiet reflection ever kicks in. I don't disagree with his decision to leak the info he did. But surely life in Putin's Russia is worse on any civil liberties issue.

Greenwald was notorious neo-Nazi Matthew Hale’s pro-bono attorney. He’s always been like this, there was just a time during the GWB admin that his priorities sorta overlapped with Dem priorities.
