ok we hit a millionusers the other day, few days before that someone from BlueSky was saying that they were working on back end stuff to handle 10x that so, 100 invites to everyone is going to bog it down a bit lol give it time, they are building it up

pretty sure they're pausing invites because the current version doesn't scale. You can't just throw money and servers at it. They need the v2 they're working on and expect to be ready by EOY and then it will scale, at which point invites will become available again.

Agree. The invite thing has the feel of the old Google+ and similar (was it Ello?). Limiting participation necessarily means, well, limiting participation. Not great for social media. ;)
