There was an real estate event there on buying land in the west bank. This was an ugly protest but at the same time it's inaccurate to cover this like a bunch of people just showed up at a shul for no reason.

My understanding is that this synagogue was hosting a real estate fair for land in Israel, and the protest was aimed at that. A few days earlier, the same fair was held at a different synagogue and also received a protest. Most of the reporting has left that out, which is important context.
