The lack of historical knowledge in this is, well, actually not surprising given the course. The death camps, were not established until 1942 and 1943 by which time Europe was basically conquered and there was no ability to flee. Not to mention that those who tried to flee earlier often couldn't.

I’ve known a couple of families with trans kids who’ve left Texas and people do not understand the expense of moving several states. Thankfully, these kids had dual income high earning parents. It’s not a solution for everyone.

I’m so glad my kids do not GAF about socks. Everyone gets multiple pairs of the same socks so no matching required. And I’m merciless about tossing any that lose elasticity, look gross, etc.

By the time my ikea stuff needs to be painted, it usually is beyond just paint saving it. I did have luck with paint on a cheapish toy chest with just a hand sand and cabinet paint. And now it’s bright orange! (Per my son’s request)

In college, I was working at a TexMex place on 7/4. During a lull, my manager looked at the Chinese place across the street and said it was unpatriotic to eat Chinese on 7/4. “What about eating Mexican food?” I asked. “Mexico never bombed the U.S. hello, Pearl Harbor!!” the genius replied.
