FYI, there's a code you can add to the URL of Google searches to remove the extras. This site does it for you: udm14.com

I stopped using Google for web search ages ago. Use DuckDuckGo instead.

Thinking about the extra energy use is uncomfortable. Google handles tens of thousands of queries every second (exact estimates vary). Standard Google queries formerly used about 1 kJ of energy each, while ChatGPT4 queries can use anywhere from 3-36 kJ each. That's a lot of energy for wrong answers.
