Don't forget, even Starmer sorted Corbyn's leadership bid. He fucked it up himself. I like Corbyn as a local MP, I think he's great, but he sucoed as a leader so the right wing of the party conspired to get rid of him, just as his fans had conspired against the right. That's politics for you.

Being realistic for a second, Corbyn's big problem in the party was not that he was left wing, it was that he was a *terrible* team leader. He wasn't a team leader at all. Plus, nasty hits who were also left wing terrorised MP's in the party who were not left wing. I was at those meetings.

Neanderthals were humans. The differences in human species are in the semantics: Genus = homo Homo humanus - has been mooted as a broad term covering all human species Homo Neandethalis, Homo Erectus, etc - all different historical, er, hominids, after Erectus are 'Homo' so part of the same family.

Absolutely right. Unfortunately, the right to be able to drive in to other human beings at speed seems to be important to too many people. For me, it's the parking. Parked cars reduce roads to single lane corridors, then drivers complain about cyclists. Words fail me!

I disagree. The Roses were making a unique sound which was at tes rather lovely. Their second album was 'alright'. Oasis were always basically a pub rock band,, and they ushered in an era of unremarkable, tedious pub rock bands like themselves.

I want to know the demographic breakdown. I get the feeling most kids* in the 'my own kids' generation voted Green (they're 18 & 20), so it might not only be the Palestinian genocide that lost them vote (and seats) but the climate crisis. *those that didn't, probably didn't vote at all (wild guess).
