Admittedly, the shady terf podcast said a lot of "Gaiman’s position is..." without direct quotes, so I'm also taking that with a grain of salt until we have better sources. But I cannot imagine a world in which any of this was okay or there's a version of things that doesn't involve predation.

Excellent point. I was going from the AV Club article but that was their main source for quotes as well. But yeah, even at my most charitable, I find it hard to imagine as well.

If the whole thing were 100% made up, I find it hard to believe that Gaiman wouldn't be out there saying that. His radio silence since this came out definitely says to me that there's truth to this and he's trying to figure out the right spin that maybe will salvage his reputation.

Agreed. I found it weird the denial didn't come from his PR people. "believe victims" doesn't mean "believe random strangers on the internet" But there does seem to be independent corroboration and it has me leaning the same way you are
