Wouldn't mind when I express an openness to fleeing this country if people stopped saying "must be nice to be able to." At the moment, my primary option is a country where I may be imprisoned on arrival for past political activity, and if I'm not, I may be conscripted, as my current paperwork stands

i think about this a lot, as someone pretty committed to fighting incipient fascism AND as someone literally only here bc my ancestors fled their homes again and again over the course of centuries, including in living memory. while those who stayed and fought were killed. so.
