I am a left liberal--even a liberal socialist on some conceptions!--and I think the Prequel Trilogy is a great and prescient epic with some poor execution. I will vote for every Democrat I see on my ballot and then some.

Poor execution aside, people disparage it as a kind of cliched and unoriginal tale of an evil fascist's manipulative rise to power... the Democracy Dies in Darkness of the movies... but how many prominent fictional examples of that do we actually have, much less so widely known? Not a lot actually!
