A former friend moved her trans child down to Texas a couple years ago because she wanted to be near the ocean. I have so much schadenfreude at the fact she had 8 trees fall on her house during Beryl. I'll never stop being angry at her for choosing to endanger her child for the sake of her "dream."

Husband is upset with me for wearing a mask because Miss 11's OCD is running rampant now. She won't let me touch anything of hers, won't let me be on the same floor of the house. 3 years of watching my health fall apart and he still has an "it can't happen to us" mentality. Unbelievable.

Tornado footage used to be like catching a mythical creature on camera. There was a sense of the forbidden and mysterious as you watched the grainy footage. Now any rando with a phone will be like, "Whoa I'm, like, right underneath it bruh!" and go live on Tiktok with it.

Miss 11's OCD is now flaring. She had OCD intrusive thoughts for years but compulsions didn't start until a few months after I became disabled by Covid. I knew wearing a mask would likely trigger her but I don't want her to end up with long-covid. Goddamn everyone who bungled this fucking pandemic.

Also using antiseptic mouthwash and Covixyl to help reduce possibility of transmission - I started using that last night as a precaution since I had a house full of kids for several hours yesterday but they've been in and out of the house for a few days so I must've already caught the bug.

I've had POTS flares each July the last two years as well and each one has left me with a lower baseline of wellbeing. I am so determined to take care of my nervous system this month but Miss 11 is a meltdown machine right now, Vivi is still not back to normal, and I'm a mess.

I hate July. It's my birthday month. Even as a kid I was sick for most of my birthdays - pneumonia, bronchitis, etc. not just allergies or something. My dad went into the hospital on my birthday three days before he died. I caught Covid and developed long-covid in July. Bean died in July. I hate it.

One of the 'hood kids (10) made a friendship bracelet that said Therian on it and I asked her if she was one and she nervously said, "Yes. Are you supportive?" and I said "Hell yeah." She said she'll hide the bracelet because her dad won't like it. Honestly how hard is it to just hype your kids up?

Part of why I'm now chronically ill is because of what I went through, caught in the crossfires of his trauma and burnout and depression. I regret so much. Life could've been so different. It's hard to move past all that even though things are much better. His bad days trigger me.

But things were still rough. And just when I was ready to leave again Covid hit. And now I'm permanently disabled and our daughter is housebound with OCD and finally he is doing to work to soften, to heal, to be kind and loving. But there is so much damage left behind.
