A couple of comments about Stop Making Sense... 1) Has film ever captured anyone seeming to enjoy their job as much as Alex Weir? 2) Totally agree about the crowd shots. Even the wide crowd shots at the end take me out of the moment and remind me what the early 80s REALLY looked like.

The Lions' season is an objectively great story. As a Vikings fan, it's depressing to come to grips with the possibility that Detroit may win a Super Bowl before Minnesota.

That is definitely a sign of my brokenness. I wonder if @drewmagary.bsky.social feels the same.
