But it's only 30% of the electorate who decide the Presidential election anyway. Voters residing in California or NYC for example can safely leave the top of the ticket blank (or vote third party)

This is where the "there's zero difference between the parties/Dems haven't done a single thing in power" narrative comes to play. In order to justify their nonvote they have to rewrite Biden's presidency and selectively ignore a lot of policy changes and legislation he got done.
