I've long thought of doing a Boss Fight Books on Karnov's Revenge, or maybe Fighter's History as a series, as the first game got Data East sued by Capcom for ripping off SF2. It's been at least since their pitches opened in March and I was just too busy to draft something up...

Insane book. FF6 by Sebastian Deken analyzes the game through Uematsu's soundtrack and is a very good book until the last two chapters where it shifts into fucking overdrive. Cannot recommend enough, incredible piece to understanding FF6 as art and from a perspective different than most.

I'm 26 and I very rarely find myself conscious about the age gap, one of my best friends in the scene is 10 years my senior and I regularly play w/ people hovering around that age. I hope people are nice to you about that too.

Mixed feelings on this Karnov's Revenge Revolution hack being seen as a replacement for the OG when it changes so much it's more of an Alpha 2 ~ 3 situation. But can I blame anyone for wanting a game with buffed low tiers and nerfed top tiers.

-Other weird backhit properties (B.Genjuro rekka pushes him back fullscreen, Basara juggle bug, Zankuro being invincible after 1 backhit) -Amakusa overhead whiffing on a few crouching characters -inexplicable deflect-prone kicks -B. Nakoruru can't be grabbed on wolf (no way this is on purpose)

I could easily do a Samsho 3 Glitch Showcase tbh -Gaira and Basara guard cancel -Zankuro back roll OTG -A lot of the combos tbh (shoutout to Zankuro fireball loop) -Bomb and Chicken items breaking your throw -really spotty hitboxes -Basara both unable to deflect or get deflected

I guess I could expand it to softlock bugs so I can include Slash Galford from Samsho 3 (if they block Plasma Dog and you run up and command grab them quickly they'll be frozen for the rest of the round)

One thing I wanna work up to is a fighting game glitch exhibition. My first idea is game crashes. It'd be across several - KOF 97, 99, etc. TASK OVER!! and Samsho 5 Vanilla with Jubei's unarmed pursuit crashing the game come to mind

Capcom dropping Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Ring of Destruction, Darkstalkers, and X-Men: Children of the Atom within the same year is kind of a miracle. So many wildly unique games that still hold up. Maybe Darkstalkers 1 is hard to go back to but it laid some key groundwork for anime fighters.
