Buttigieg polls better than Harris. Democrats HAVE to go with the strongest possible candidate in the eyes of voters! The current risk of having an authoritarian fascist is too great, and growing by the day! Listen to the voters!

My concern is logistics: if Biden drops out, the campaign goes dark for two months and Harris has to build an entire campaign -- fundraising, strategy, leadership. Meanwhile "Dems in disarray" becomes the headline every damn day.

If I’m being honest/cynical, I think the Biden team is afraid that making Harris appear as a viable alternative is not in their interest.
