unrelated to any posters, but during a carbon monoxide leak, you'll find it hard to move, hard to even think. My dad was nearly gassed during the Cultural Revolution by a vengeful kulak and only because they did CO reminders at school did he realize and open a window

Thankfully carbon monoxide poisoning is not permanent; symptoms improve drastically 24 hours after stopping exposure, by 2 weeks most mild symptoms are gone, and by 120 days your body has replaced all damaged red blood cells. As a kid i thought it was permanent accumulation like lead!
