I don't usually do scriptwriting after work, but tonight I did a few rewrites. There's a fine line between creating suspense and sounding like you have no idea where this is going. So I needed to put in more clues, because I definitely DO know.

Maybe this one does out of a misplaced sense of protocol. And they can explain it that way too. "Corporate insists we keep a list of passengers since that one incident..."
You can make it work.

The more vulnerable furries were in the fandom to be assured they were decent people and others enjoyed their interests. It was therefore easy for toxic opportunists to prey upon them and send a chain reaction of "abnormalcy" throughout the community.

Any time Alistair had an opinion in "Newshounds" I got a huge screed from RHJr about how wrong my fictional kitty was, and then some. I just wrote back "Agree to disagree" and moved on, but it never stopped him.

If the stakes weren't so huge in this comic, Marcel's life as a veterinary intern would make for quite a wacky sitcom!

I don't think I'm at the level of fame where someone can look at my current comics five years later and say "The art suffered here because the author was going through COVID at the time."

I just rewatched a Rifftrax short, "Perc! Pop! Sprinkle!" It has to be seen to be believed; however, I can vouch that these kinds of "educational" films were foisted on us in the seventies. Here is an older pic I did based upon it; the line is verbatim from the short.

Yeah, the long sections where Howe is playing what sounds like his version of boogie Americana just suggests the song is more about a transcontinental adventure than about trying to find oneself and failing.
I played it for perennial Simon fan @bluealoe.bsky.social and she hated it! :D

Tuesday podiatrist appointment (probably will have to pay a cancellation fee, hooray)
Wednesday physical therapy appointment (easily postponable, I honestly don't need it anymore)
So it's just the job interview I have to work out. I think it CAN be done on Zoom, but we'll see what they say. (2/2)

All right, I think I'm getting all my ducks in a row regarding the very real prospect of having to stay home until at least Wednesday. This is what I have to deal with:
Monday appointment for brake check (postponable)
Tuesday job interview (NOT postponable and very important) (1/2)

Welp, it was a nice 4 year and 3 month run, but Captain Trips has finally caught up to me.
I generally feel fine right now apart from the dry cough. Things smell and taste normal and I don't feel feverish.
Thank God I planned to stay home this weekend anyway and draw/write.
