I'm going to regret this but as someone who was in court for 2 days watching trump's ny trial, he definitely was not asleep the whole time. idk if he was asleep at other times when I wasn't there, but mostly it just seemed like he was sitting leaning back w eyes closed as a weirdo power move
Were you in the main courtroom? I was in the overflow room one day and it was hard to see Trump, let alone small motions so I can't be sure which it was.
I want to be clear about what you are and are not saying here. That while you were there:
1) Trump was to your observation never asleep?
2) that he was sometimes not asleep but had his eyes closed, and other times maybe asleep?
My guess is that when the trial started he nodded off a few times because he had to get up much earlier than usual (hair & makeup). Then after he got publicly busted for it, he came up with this "power play" to lean back with eyes closed to be able to plausibly deny the earlier snoozing.
