That's a really good question, since matte gray is quite literally the worst color for cars from a safety perspective. We paint battleships that color so they'll blend into the horizon.

I do captioning for a living, & a big part of my job is cleaning up false starts & filler words. That has always been the norm at every media outlet. Print media edits Trump so carefully that you would never know what he actually sounds like. Doing this to Biden is a 180 from decades of policy.

They're so high in fat that they freeze well. Wrap pairs in wax paper & put the pairs in a ziploc. Then you can just have two when the craving hits. If you happen to have a toaster oven, they'll be even better than they were when you bought them.

I'm from DC, where it gets very hot & humid in the summer. So I was pretty heat-tolerant for a long time. But after being on opiates for chronic pain for a long time, my thermoregulatory system got all fucked up when I switched to cannabis. Now post-menopause, I can't handle it at all.

I understand, you've described it before. But there really isn't anywhere you can't use a wheeled portable unit, even when you're stuck with casement windows, like I was during the heat dome. It was hard for me to get over the "omfg, I am wasting so much power" thing, but self-preservation won.

I still remember the first time I really wished I had one. It was when it hit 102 in 2008, & my south-facing bedroom was 105. I made myself a pallet in the hallway, with a fan blowing over bins of ice cubes. But it took a few more years for me to actually get one.

I used to put a golf ball in Diva's dish to slow her down. Highly recommend. Harpo used to finish his food & then shadow Diva until she regurgitated hers for a second helping. One time he was crowding her so close that she threw up on his head.

My cats were wholly indifferent this year. Diva was the only one who was scared of them, & her fear rubbed off on the others a bit. But with her gone, it didn't even seem to register. Groucho actually went out into the catio where it was much louder.

Amanda Palmer is not known for her reticence, but she has remained largely silent about what happened, beyond saying she'd asked that their open marriage be closed to focus on family. She has said that it's to protect their son, but that if it ever came out, she knew whose side she would be on.

I have been wondering if the shoe would ever drop on Neil for a long, long time. My former neighbor was his handler when he came to town on tours, & she said he fucked a lot of young groupies. My unpopular position is that fucking young groupies is not INHERENTLY predatory, but it certainly can be.

Lol, I wanted to be a vegetarian starting at age 5, just because I'm crazy about animals. I've been one since 13, & have had a friendly social relationship with an employer's pet pig. Even I can't think about eating a pig the same way as eating a dog or cat.
