That really sucks, I'm sorry! I'm honestly not sure where I can go with a linguistics degree career-wise. Gonna try for a PhD, but yeah – LLMs have basically sucked all the air out of the room for linguistics jobs too.

Thought about responses to a survey about genAI and realised that as happy as I am getting into linguistics academically, I actually have a lot of rage and grief about the fact that I am no longer able to maintain a fulfilling job as a translator, let alone one that would keep me housed and fed.
